The Dream of Pilate’s Wife Print

An angel is pointing over to the right side of the image, the content of her dream, showing Christ, and the crowds of Jews staring at her. It is as if both sides are battling for their alliance with her. The artist, Alphonse Francois (1814-1888) was a French engraver who was known for his reproductions of masterpieces.
